FIRST ON FOX: Woman Drives Into Bellevue Roadway Inundated by Water

Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

BELLEVUE, Tenn. -- A woman had a terrifying ordeal while driving to a meeting Tuesday morning bringing back memories of the 2010 flood to her.
The woman tells FOX 17 Reporter Justin McFarland how she had to crawl out of her car window at Newsom Station Road at Highway 70 after driving through a flooded road that stalled out her car. She says the road would be normally blocked off, but it was not.
As the situation was unfolding, she says she was reminded of the victim who was swept away right there in the 2010 flood and died.

A man on scene who saw the woman stuck in the water called 911. They called for a water rescue.
