UPDATE: A suspect, 22-year-old Eric Carter, is arrested in the May 6 fatal shooting at the Summerwind Apartments overnight

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A man on parole is dead and police are looking for a suspect who lives in the same building as the victim.

Metro police are looking for a 22-year-old gunman who they believe killed a 22-year-old male found in the breezeway at the Summerwind Apartments at the 300 block of Bell Road in Antioch just before midnight on May 6.

An ongoing dispute between Eric Carter and Michael Pillow led to Pillow's murder, say police. They say the victim was ambushed by more than one person and shot multiple times.

Carter and Pillow lived in the same building, they say. At the time of his murder, Pillow was on parole for a 2012 attempted murder conviction.

Anyone with information on the other suspects involved can call police at 862-6993.
