Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Homeless Man Alerts Police to Church Break-in, Officer Tackles Burglar

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Two south Nashville church burglars are behind bars.

Metro police responded to the Woodland Hills Church of Christ on Old Hickory Boulevard at 2 a.m. after a homeless person sleeping outside the church heard a window break.

Officers took a female waiting in a car into custody without incident, according to Metro Police Captain William Dyer. A male ran from the church and was also tackled by an officer.

The suspects are being questioned. It is unknown what they were after or if anything was taken.
