The Tennessee city of Pikeville has approved the first-reading of an ordinance which will have resident's pulling up their pants or else they'll be pulling out their wallets.

According to the Times Free Press, the proposed ordinance would fine people who are caught wearing pants more than three inches from the top of their hips $25 dollars for the first offense and up to $50 every offense thereafter.
The goal is to get rid of what the city calls indecent exposure. "The exposure of a person's buttocks and genital area or undergarments is offensive and indecent."

The city even went as far as to say wearing pants as specified would help prevent injury since sagging pants could cause "improper gait."
