Pennsylvania Man Charged in Death of Unborn Child from Wreck

A Pennsylvania man who is accused of causing a crash that led to the death of an unborn child has been charged with the third-degree murder of an unborn child, the Delco Times report.

Remington Simmons, 29, of Boothwyn, Pa., had been charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI and involuntary manslaughter for the March wreck, but the district attorney withdrew those charges because they would only be able to levy them if the unborn child had been born and died from his injuries.

Simmons is due back in court June 26. He was released on a $100,000 bond.
