DONELSON- A good samaritan may have saved a dogs life over the weekend. On Saturday Adam Alexander noticed someone left a dog in a hot car in the parking lot of the Opry Mills Mall. Alexander called security and eventually Metro Police showed up and freed the dog. According to Alexander, Metro Police planned on citing the owner. Dr. Anne Gottfried, a local vet at the Nashville Pet Emergency Clinic, said it only takes a matter of minutes for parked cars to reach dangerous and deadly high temperatures that can kill pets. If you see a pet or a child left unattended in a parked car write down the make/model/color and license plate of the car and call authorities.
