Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Man Beat with Brass Knuckles, 4-year-old Injured After Rock Thrown Into Car

BORDEAUX, Tenn. -- A four-year-old is hit in the forehead with a large rock by a man in Bordeaux in an attack on her mother's friend.

The suspect, 43-year-old Willie Holloway, also known as "Rabbit," allegedly threw the rock through the windshield of the vehicle the girl was in on West Hamilton Avenue with her mother and another man, according to the affidavit. The girl received a bruise on her forehead and some scratches from glass.

Holloway began punch the male victim in the face. Another suspect, 47-year-old Kenneth Hawkins, also took part in the beating, using brass knuckles, until the man almost lost consciousness. The victim went to Centennial Hospital for treatment of a concussion.

The suspects were picked out of a photo lineup by the victims and arrested. Hawkins is in jail on a $50,000 bond for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Holloway is bonded out.
