NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A father goes to pick up his son on Father's Day and gets arrested.
The suspect, 24-year-old Semaj Dunlap, went into the home of his child's mother in Davidson County on Sunday and "flipped out," according to the affidavit. He allegedly put the pregnant woman in a choke hold and threw her to the ground in front of their son, before her boyfriend came to her defense.
During the altercation, a pistol appeared. Dunlap waved it around and pointed it at the victim's boyfriend who was now holding Dunlap's son.
Dunlap's grandfather ended up with the gun after another scuffle. He escorted Dunlap out and gave him back the gun.
Police charged Dunlap with child endangerment and aggravated assault. He is in the Davidson County Jail on $75,000 bond.
