Winter-Like Conditions Expected this Weekend

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend.  A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night.  Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area.  Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro.  Breezy NW winds will add to the chill.  Bring plants and pets indoors for the weekend and make sure outdoor vegetation is protected as well.In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Teens Flip Car in Hopkinsville, Critical at Vanderbilt

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. -- Two teens are fighting for their lives after flipping their car in Hopkinsville.

Two occupants, 19-year-old Dean Adornato, of Nebo, Ky., and an unnamed 15-year-old, ran off the roadway at the 1400 block of Little River Church Road early Tuesday morning, according to police. They were transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center by LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries.

The car flipped twice after hitting a rock ditch ejecting the juvenile. Police suspect drugs or alcohol are involved.

Neither occupant was reportedly wearing their seat belt.
