Father Leaves Injured Children in Car After Accident in Davidson County

Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A father leaves his four children injured after a car accident in Davidson County.

The vehicle was occupied by four children and the driver, 33-year-old Demarcus Lawrence, when it flipped on Friday at the 300 block of Berkley Drive. The father left the scene, say Metro police, without rendering aid for his children who were transported to Children's Hospital with injuries.

Lawrence was later found in an apartment in Madison on Berkley Drive. Police say he admits to drinking before the crash.

Lawrence is being held in the Davidson County Jail on $107,500 bond for four counts of vehicular assault.
