Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Man Using Hammer to Smash Way into Hermitage Business Caught on Camera

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A store in the Jackson Downs shopping strip in Hermitage is broken into overnight.

The suspect, caught on surveillance video, beat in the front glass door of a convenient store with a hammer for a trash bag full of cigarettes. Metro police responded to an alarm at 3181 Lebanon Pike at 1 a.m.

The suspect was gone when police arrived. An older white male with glasses, wearing a gray hoodie is a description of the suspect from surveillance video.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect can call police at 862-8600.
