Weather Alert

CODE YELLOW: Heavy Rains Expected Overnight

A few showers could pop-up around the mid-state this afternoon, but our Microcast model shows the heaviest rain to arrive in Nashville around 3am. Areas to the west of the city will see it sooner and areas to the east will see it later.  Some storms could be strong with gusty winds and heavy pockets of rain.  A few left-over showers could hang around as late as Friday night, so area high school football games might be wet.

The Christian County Sheriff's Office arrested a Fairview woman on Tuesday alleging that she threw kittens out of a moving vehicle.

Witnesses reportedly saw Jennifer Lynn Fowler, 48, throwing a bag out of a vehicle on Russellville Road Monday afternoon.

One witness, who was driving behind her, stopped to see what was in the bag, discovered the bag contained kittens and called 911.

Fowler was tracked down and charged with torture of a dog or cat, which is a Class D felony.

She was taken to the Christian County Jail, and her bond was set at $5,000.

Unfortunately, the kittens died at the scene.
