Tattoos are designed to last forever.

But when the ink is embedded in your skin, forever can sometimes be too long.

Across the nation the tattoo removal industry is booming. And in a town full of creative people, many of whom have tattoos, Nashville is no exception.

At Gold Club Electric Tattoo artists say the increase in tattoo removals has actually helped their business.

When locals want their tattoos removed, many go to Nashville Tattoo & Hair Removal. Owner Rebecca Pugh said her business has more than tripled in the past three years.

Pugh said it takes 12 sessions and 12 months to completely remove most tattoos. Each sessions cost $49-$149.
