Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with TN Mornings at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A drug investigation leads to an arrest and more than 36 grams of heroin being taken off Nashville streets.

An undercover detective bought heroin on July 14, 18 and 22 from 23-year-old Anthony Bowles, totaling about 23 grams, according to the affidavit. Bowles met with the detective again yesterday to sell 14 grams of heroin and 100 Xanax pills.

Bowles saw police moving in and bailed from the detective's car. He was caught after a short foot pursuit with police.

The report says police recovered a 9mm pistol that Bowles tossed during the chase, as well as the drugs he was selling to the undercover detective.

Bowles is facing 10 related charges when he goes before a judge on July 30. His bond is set at $434,500.
