FIRST ON FOX: Davidson Co. Man Douses Wife with Johnny Walker, Tries to Set Her on Fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- An intoxicated man in Davidson County attempts to set his wife on fire.

The victim left her home on July 23 after having an argument with her drunk husband, 62-year-old Stephen Russell, according to the Metro police affidavit. When she returned, he was even more drunk than before.

Russell attacked his wife with a knife when she made her way in the house, causing a deep cut to her hand. He then poured Johnny Walker all over her, according to police, and tried to set her on fire.

The victim went to the hospital for treatment to her injuries. Her husband is in Davidson County Jail on $30,000 bond for aggravated assault.
