NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A kidnapping and carjacking suspect from overnight is a recently wanted fugitive by Metro police and he is still on the loose.

FOX 17 has confirmed that 36-year-old Antonio Batts is being sought in this morning's incident on 14th Avenue North where a man was carjacked, taken at gun point, robbed and pistol whipped. He is already wanted for attempted homicide and robbery.

On July 17, Batts reportedly pistol whipped and shot a 22-year-old acquaintance (one 14th Avenue North) when he didn't give him any money, according to police. On July 7th, he is accused of approaching a relative and shooting him in the leg when he refused his robbery demands.

The victim in this mornings incident is also an acquaintance of Batts, according to police. He is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
