ANTIOCH, Tenn. -- A pregnant woman is hit by a bullet while she's sleeping in a drive-by shooting in Antioch.

As many as a half-dozen bullets were fired outside the 700 block of Reeves Road at around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, with one going through a home and striking a pregnant woman in the thigh as she slept, say Metro police. She went to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

Three children were reportedly in the house, which is now riddled with bullet holes. No one else was injured.

The house is within one mile of two schools, J E Moss Elementary and Apollo Middle School.

Police are investigating that this incident may be related to another recent drive-by shooting in the area. Anyone with information is urged to call them at 862-8600.
