CODE YELLOW: Heavy Rains Expected Overnight

A few showers could pop-up around the mid-state this afternoon, but our Microcast model shows the heaviest rain to arrive in Nashville around 3am. Areas to the west of the city will see it sooner and areas to the east will see it later.  Some storms could be strong with gusty winds and heavy pockets of rain.  A few left-over showers could hang around as late as Friday night, so area high school football games might be wet.

Attorneys Talk About Seigenthaler's Impact and Influence

Nashville, TN--Two of Nashville's most prominent attorneys share their thoughts on John Seigenthaler's impact and influence on Music City.

David Raybin and Aubrey Harwell reflect on Seigenthaler's life.  Raybin has been in front of many high profile criminal cases in Nashville.  One case that Raybin worked on was the Gaile Owens death penalty.  Seigenthaler was an advocate for battered women and he influenced the governor to commute the sentence.

Aubrey Harwell also agrees Seigenthaler will be remembered for saving Owens life.  Many people called him a legend or an icon.  Harwell calls him a hero.  Harwell says Seigenthaler never lost site of his roots.

Seigenthaler's funeral is at Cathedral of Incarnation in West End at 10am.
