Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 4:30am and News at 9pm.

A man accused of murder in 2010 in south Nashville was arrested Wednesday night in Crossville, according to Metro police.

Juan Vargas, 27, was taken into custody at the Motel 6 on U.S. Highway 127. He had apparently been working in that area doing construction.

Vargas is accused in the March 2010 murder of Santos Cordova Reyes, 27, at the Las Potrancas Bar on Haywood Lane in Nashville. His brother, Adolfo Vargas Jr., was arrested and charged that night at their Antioch home in 2010 with being an accessory for driving Juan away from the scene. At the time, Adolfo speculated that Juan had traveled to either Mexico or California.

Adolfo was convicted on the accessory charge in 2012 and received a probated sentence.

Juan is being held in the Metro Jail on a $2.75 million bond.
