Lebanon HS Football Coach Accused of Head-Butting Player

A Lebanon High School assistant football coach is accused of head-butting a student football player who had gotten into an argument with another player, according to the arrest affidavit.

On Tuesday, Howard Tobias Bates, 42, got between the two player who were arguing and told one of them, "You want to ****ing fight, fight me m*****f*****," before allegedly head-butting him, the document said. Bates then allegedly said "I will ****ing kill you, and I'll slit your ****ing throat." The affidavit said the 15-year-old did not have a helmet on and there were three witnesses.

Bates is charged with assault. His bond was set at $5,000.
