Mt. Juliet Residents Ask for Help with Speeders

Parents in Mt. Juliet say drivers are flying down their road at interstate speeds, and they want something done about it.

A FOX 17 news crew spent more than two hours on North Greenhill Road Thursday morning clocking drivers at speeds of 67 and 57 MPH in a 40-MPH zone.

Parents we spoke with are concerned about children waiting for the bus in driveways. They've reached out to the mayor and Wilson County Sheriff's Department but haven't had much luck fixing the problem.

"My thoughts are that somebody's going to die," said concerned Mt. Juliet resident Kevin Green. "All we're asking for is a presence."

FOX 17 also reached out to the Wilson County Sheriff's Department but our calls weren't returned.
