As Nashville keeps growing bigger, many areas are now trying to carve out a smaller niche to better establish themselves.

“This is a perfect place to go and create a new look and a new name,” said Henry Pile, of Nashville branding agency Mountain. "And also create a new image for this part of town.”

And this part of town is now known as Demonbreun Hill. It's located between some of Music City's more iconic neighborhoods like Music Row, Midtown and downtown Nashville.

Property owners of all the bars and restaurants there see the value of rebranding this area.

“I think all these communities want to make sure they have their own unique identifier and that they have a brand that represents what they have to offer,” Pile said. “It’s an exciting time to be here in Nashville.”

Josh Griffin is the general manager of Tin Roof and he believes this rebranding will be a big boost for business.

“It’s really important, especially for outsiders, to know that there's more than just one section of Nashville,” he said.

The idea of Demonbreun Hill has already caught on with locals who say it gives this area an identity all its own.

“I think it helps separate the Demonbreun area from Midtown because those areas bleed together,” said Nashville resident Mia Cheput. “It’s kind of creating a small community within a larger community.”
