According to the Tax Foundation, Tennessee is among the states with the best bang for your buck.

Their analysis shows $100 here typically buys what would cost $110.25 in other states which are closer to the national average, meaning Tennesseans are "about ten percent richer than their normal income suggests."

Kentucky, Alabama and Mississippi also made the list, with Mississippi leading the way with a value of $115.74 for every $100 spent. Alabama's value was $113.51, followed by Kentucky at $112.61.
