NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- A 17-year-old Cane Ridge High School student is in critical condition after he was thrown from a moving car on Monday.

According to Joe Bass from Metro Public Schools, the boy was "involved in horseplay" and was on the hood of the car when he was thrown off.  The incident is considered to be accidental, but parents are being encouraged to talk with their children about safety and decision-making choices involving cars.

The Metro School's Crisis Response Team is at the school this week for those who need assistance.
