NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A man pleads guilty to inciting a riot outside a downtown bar.

Matthew Haddix, 23, began serving a 240 hour sentence yesterday for a fight outside a bar on 2nd Avenue and Commerce St. on August 3 that caused others to fight, according to the affidavit. Metro police say his actions are the sole reason for the incident.

Multiple people did require medical attention. Some were seen to be in grave danger, say police.

Nine officers responded. They struggled to calm the crowd down, as beer bottles were thrown.
