Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 4:30am and News at 5:30pm & 9pm.

Nashville, TN - A loud evening on legislative plaza with midstate protesters on each side of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

For two hours, about 500 people filtered in and out of the barricades.

Both sides calling for more support.

Hossam Bahour speaks firsthand about the conflict, with family trapped in Gaza.

He stands behind the barricades, in a counter- protest against the Israeli rally.

Those rallying in support of Israel say, like Palestinians, they're also fighting for freedom-- against terrorism-- and they say their democratic country is being bullied by the Islamic-led Hamas government.

Speakers took to the podium on legislative plaza, rallying the crowd while beyond the barricades, Palestinian supporters staged a die-in, representing mass casualties in Gaza.

Both sides calling for support in the US and for the President to cease funding to the opposing sides.

The rally and counter-protest both ended peacefully within two hours and there were no reports of any violence.
