Mt. Juliet Road Widening Complete - Erika Lathon
Mt. Juliet business owners are hoping the road widening project on North Mt. Juliet Road will mean a smoother drive and more customers. The three year project was a major inconvenience for drivers who had to dodge construction barrels and detours around the area. Businesses along the 2.2 mile section saw sharp declines in revenue and some were even forced to close. Now the the construction is finished, drivers have five traffic lanes from I-40 to Lebanon Road. Bike lanes and sidewalks are also added. Business owners hope the improvements will bring customers back to the area.
